Fatal traffic accident in Cheung Chau Division

At about 3am, a bicycle ridden by the 61-year-old man was travelling along Lamma Island Family Walk southbound. When approaching near Tai Wan San Tsuen, the bicycle reportedly lost control and rammed into a kerb. The man then fell onto the ground.
Sustaining injury to his head, the man was rushed to North Lamma General Out-Patient Clinic in unconscious state. He was later transferred to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital and was certified dead at 4.36am.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island is underway.
