Fatal traffic accident in Pat Heung

At about 3.35pm, a private car driven by a 42-year-old man and a motorcycle driven by a 41-year-old man were travelling in sequence along Kam Tin Road towards Sheung Tsuen. When approaching a temple in Sheung Tsuen, the motorcycle reportedly collided with the private car and rammed into a shop on Kam Tin Road.
Sustaining serious chest injuries, the motorcyclist was rushed to Pok Oi Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 4.16pm. The private car driver sustained head and hand injuries and was sent to Pok Oi Hospital in conscious state.
Investigation by the Accident Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.
