Wai Luen Development Limited was fined $250,000 at Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts today (August 13) for violation of the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance. The prosecutions were launched by the Labour Department.

     The case involved a fatal accident that occurred on February 21, 2017, in Tuen Mun. While a team of workers was clearing coal ash inside a silo, some coal ash aggregate suddenly collapsed and fatally buried one of the workers.
