Fatal traffic accident in Tin Shui Wai

At about 7.30pm, a public light bus (PLB) driven by a 71-year-old man was travelling along Tin Shui Road towards Wetland Park. When approaching near LRT Tin Shui Station, it reportedly knocked down the 78-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injury, the woman was rushed to Tin Shui Wai Hospital in unconscious state where she was certified dead at 8.09pm.
The PLB driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries and is required to report back to Police in early-June.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.
