Special traffic arrangements on Hong Kong Island

(I)
Road closure
------------
The following roads will be intermittently closed from 2pm until the crowd is dispersed and traffic resumes normal:
- Westbound Hennessy Road;
- Westbound Queensway;
- Westbound Queen’s Road Central; and
- Des Voeux Road Central.
The following roads will be closed from about 2pm until the crowd is dispersed and traffic resumes normal:
- Northbound Luard Road between Johnston Road and Hennessy Road;
- Eastbound Johnston Road between Fenwick Street and Hennessy Road;
- Westbound Johnston Road between Ship Street and Landale Street;
- Southbound Fenwick Street between Hennessy Road and Johnston Road, except for franchised buses and green minibuses(GMBs);
- Eastbound Thomson Road between Johnston Road and Luard Road;
- Northbound Justice Drive between Justice Drive flyover and Queensway; and
- Northbound Garden Road between Garden Road flyover and Queensway, except for franchised buses and GMBs.
Traffic diversions
------------------
The following traffic diversions will be implemented from about 2pm until the crowd is dispersed and traffic resumes normal:
- Traffic along eastbound Johnston Road cannot turn left to northbound Luard Road;
- Traffic along westbound Johnston Road cannot turn right to northbound Luard Road;
- Traffic along eastbound Johnston Road cannot turn left to Thomson Road;
- Traffic along westbound Johnston Road cannot turn right to Thomson Road;
- Traffic along westbound Johnston Road must turn left to Ship Street;
- Traffic along eastbound Hennessy Road cannot turn right to southbound Fenwick Street, except for franchised buses and GMBs;
- Traffic along southbound Fenwick Street must turn to Hennessey Road;
- Traffic along westbound Johnston Road from Landale Street must turn left to Anton Street;
- Traffic along northbound Justice Drive cannot turn left to westbound Queensway; and
- Traffic along northbound Gadern Road cannot turn left to westbound Queen’s Road Central, except for franchised buses and GMBs.
Suspension of parking spaces
----------------------------
All metered parking spaces and disabled parking spaces on Thomson Road between Luard Road and Johnston Road will be suspended from 1pm to 5pm.

Road closure

The following roads will be intermittently closed from 2.30pm until the crowd is dispersed and traffic resumes normal:
- Kam Hong Street;
- Westbound King’s Road;
- Westbound Causeway Road;
- Westbound Irving Street;
- Northbound Pennington Street;
- Westbound Yee Wo Street;
- Westbound Jardine’s Bazaar;
- Westbound Hennessy Road;
- Queensway;
- Rodney Street;
- Eastern section of Edinburgh Place;
- Eastbound Connaught Road Central near City Hall;
- Westbound Harcourt Road Service Road between Rodney Street and Cotton Tree Drive;
- Westbound Harcourt Road Service Road U-turn slip road;
- Eastbound Harcourt Road between Tim Wa Avenue and Edinburgh Place; and
- If necessary, the fast lane of Garden Road flyover.
Traffic diversions

The follow traffic diversions will be implemented from 3.30pm until the crowd is dispersed and traffic resumes normal:
- Traffic along eastbound Queensway cannot turn left to northbound Rodney Street intermittently;
- Traffic from United Centre Bus Terminus must turn left to westbound Drake Street;
- Traffic along westbound Harcourt Road cannot enter ground level of westbound Harcourt Road Service Road intermittently, and must go straight to westbound Harcourt Road flyover;
- Traffic along eastbound Connaught Road Central cannot enter ground level of eastbound Harcourt Road intermittently, and must go straight to eastbound Harcourt Road flyover;
- Traffic along northbound Garden Road cannot enter eastbound Harcourt Road and northbound Tim Wa Avenue intermittently, and must turn left to westbound Lambeth Walk or make a U-turn to southbound Cotton Tree Drive;
- Traffic along westbound Harcourt Road heading for eastbound Queensway will be diverted via westbound Harcourt Road flyover and southbound Murray Road;
- Traffic along eastbound Connaught Road Central heading for eastbound Queensway and southbound Cotton Tree Drive will be diverted via eastbound Harcourt Road flyover, eastbound Gloucester Road, northbound Fenwick Street, westbound Fenwick Pier Street, westbound Fenwick Pier Street flyover, westbound Harcourt Road flyover and southbound Murray Road; and
- Traffic along Lung Wo Road cannot turn to southbound Edinburgh Place.
Vehicles may not be permitted to leave car parks along the procession routes during the road closure period.
Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the area. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
