The Financial Secretary, Mr Paul Chan, will depart for Manila, the Philippines, tomorrow evening (May 3) for the 51st Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

     While there he will take the opportunity to meet with the President of the ADB, Mr Takehiko Nakao, ADB senior officials and other financial officials attending the meeting.

     He will also attend a business luncheon organised by the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines.

    Mr Chan will return to Hong Kong in the evening on May 5. During his absence, the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Mr James Lau, will act as Financial Secretary.
