CP visited Germany and France

     The Commissioner of Police, Mr Lo Wai-chung, led a six-member delegation to visit the police units of Germany and France between April 24 and 27 with a view to fostering mutual exchange and cooperation.

     During the visit, the delegation visited the German Federal Criminal Investigation Office (BKA), the Federal German Police (BPol) and the French National Police (FNP).

     The delegation separately met with the Vice President of BKA, Mr Peter Henzler; the President of BPol, Mr Dieter Romann; and the Director General of FNP, Mr Eric Morvan. Various issues and views including counter terrorism, major incident policing and cyber crime were discussed and exchanged.

     The Commissioner also met the Secretary-General of INTERPOL, Mr Jürgen Stock, and discussed strategies of international cooperation on combating transnational crime.
