Special traffic arrangements on Sunday

     Police will implement special traffic arrangements on April 29 (Sunday) to facilitate two public events to be held in the New Territories and Hong Kong Island.

(I) New Territories

Road closure
-------------

     Southbound Ting Kok Road between Ting Tai Road and On Chee Road will be closed from noon to 4.30pm.
     
     The following roads will be closed from 1.30pm to 4.30pm:

- Eastbound On Chee Road between Ting Kok Road and On Cheung Road;
- Northbound On Cheung Road between On Chee Road and Tai Po Tai Wo Road;
- Northbound Po Heung Street between Plover Cove Road and Tai Po Tai Wo Road;
- Westbound Plover Cove Road between Po Heung Street and Tung Mau Square;
- Po Heung Street between Plover Cove Road and Nam Shing Street;
- Kwong Fuk Road between On Fu Road and Wan Tau Street; and
- Wai Yan Street between On Fu Road and Po Heung Street.

Suspension of parking spaces

     Metered parking spaces on the following roads will be suspended from 8pm on April 28 to 4.30pm the following day:

- Po Heung Square; and
- Two metered parking spaces outside House No.19 on Po Yick Street.

(II) Hong Kong Island

     The following roads will be intermittently closed from 4.30pm, until the crowd is dispersed and traffic resumes normal:

- Eastbound Des Voeux Road Central between Ice House Street and Queensway;
- Eastbound Queensway between Des Voeux Road Central and Tamar Street;
- Northbound Tamar Street;
- Westbound Harcourt Road Service Road between Rodney Street and Cotton Tree Drive;
- Southbound Tim Wa Avenue between Lung Wo Road and Harcourt Road;
- Northbound Tim Mei Avenue;
- All lay-bys along Tim Mei Avenue; and
- If necessary, the fast lane of Garden Road flyover.

     Vehicles may not be permitted to access or leave car parks along the procession route during the road closure period.

     Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the area. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
