Shun Lee Transportation Engineering Co Limited was fined $68,000 at Kwun Tong Magistrates' Courts today (April 26) for violation of the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance. The prosecution was launched by the Labour Department.

     The case involved a fatal accident that occurred at an open storage yard in Sai Kung, New Territories on September 27, 2017. A worker who was engaged in cleaning an air handling unit fell about 2 metres to the ground while climbing down along a portable metal ladder from the top of the unit. He sustained a serious head injury and passed away the same day.
