Police will implement special traffic arrangements in Kowloon West on April 22 and 23 to facilitate the Police Force Funeral with Full Honours for the late Senior Police Constable, Mr Lum Hoi-wan.

     Traffic control measures will be implemented on Cheong Hang Lane and Cheong Hang Road from 1pm to 3.15pm on April 22 and from 8am to 11.15am on April 23. Traffic along Lo Lung Hang Street must turn right to Winslow Street.

     The metered parking spaces on Cheong Tung Road South, Cheong Hang Road, On Ching Road, Winslow Street and Lo Lung Hang Street will be suspended from noon on April 22 to 11am the following day.

     People going to the funeral by vehicles should alight at Winslow Street and proceed to the funeral parlour.

     Only the cortege can park on Cheong Hang Road. Other vehicles with authorisation can park on the west side of Cheong Hang Road.

     Traffic control measures will be implemented on the second lane of westbound Kai Tak Tunnel, and southbound East Kowloon Corridor between San Shan Road and Wo Chung Street from 11.05am to 11.15am on April 23. Traffic along the first lane of westbound Kai Tak Tunnel must turn left to eastbound San Shan Road; traffic along westbound San Ma Tau Street must either turn left or right to southbound or northbound To Kwa Wan Road; traffic along southbound To Kwa Wan Road cannot turn right to westbound San Shan Road; and traffic along northbound To Kwa Wan Road cannot turn left to westbound San Shan Road.

     Traffic control measures will be implemented on Wai Wan Lane between 11.15am and 11.30am on April 23. Traffic along eastbound Tai Wan Road cannot turn to Wai Wan Lane; traffic along westbound Tai Wan Road cannot turn left to Wai Wan Lane; and vehicles exceeding 8 metres in length cannot enter Tai Wan Road.

     Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the area. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
