Key statistics on service demand at A&E Departments and occupancy rates of medical wards in public hospitals

The spokesperson of Hospital Authority (HA) today (April 12) announced that in view of the end of the winter influenza season and the stabilising service situation lately, the HA today published the last issue of "Surge in Brief" (as appended). Meanwhile, HA will also cease to release the daily service statistics of Accident and Emergency Departments and the occupancy rate of medical wards in public hospitals from April 16 (Monday). HA will continue to monitor the service situation of public hospitals and to make necessary operation arrangement and resources deployment.
The key service statistics of yesterday (April 11) are in the appended table while the "Surge in Brief" is also available on the HA Winter Surge designated webpage (www.ha.org.hk/goto/wintersurge/en).
