Tenders invited for lease of EcoPark lots for waste paper recycling and manufacturing business
***************************************************************

The Environmental Protection Department (EPD) is inviting recycling operators with relevant experience and expertise to submit tenders for the lease of four lots in the EcoPark, Tuen Mun, to develop waste paper recycling and manufacturing business. This successful tenderer will be required to recycle local waste paper into finished paper products or semi-finished paper products. The locations of the four lots are set out in the Annex.

A spokesman for the EPD said today (March 29), "The total area of the four lots is about 19 000 square metres, which is bigger than previous land lots in the EcoPark being put up for tenancy tender. In addition, the tenancy period of the four lots is 20 years and the tenant is allowed to use the facilities in the EcoPark including the berth space. It is believed that the arrangement can meet the needs of waste paper recycling and manufacturing business."

Submission of tenders will close at noon on June 1, 2018 (Friday). Interested parties can obtain the tender documents at the EPD's Waste Reduction and Recycling Group during office hours (from 9am to 5.30pm) at 2/F, East Wing, 88 Victoria Road, Kennedy Town, Hong Kong.
