Sick person in custody dies in public hospital

On January 29, the person in custody was referred to a public hospital for examination and treatment due to abdominal pain. Since then, she all along received in-patient treatment in the hospital with the diagnosis of acute hepatitis, pneumonia, septicaemia and more. In the afternoon yesterday, her condition suddenly deteriorated and she was certified dead at 7.04pm.
The case has been reported to the Police. A death inquest will be held by the Coroner's Court.
The person in custody was convicted for the offence of trafficking in a dangerous drug in October 2015.
