Information of private lots and government land allocations available online
****************************************************************************
The Lands Department (LandsD) announced today (March 20) that information about the location and extent of private lots and government land allocations is available online on GeoInfo Map (www.map.gov.hk).

A spokesperson for the LandsD said the online information on GeoInfo Map will facilitate public access to the location and extent of private lots and government land allocations. The LandsD will update relevant information from time to time according to the latest land status.

The spokesperson added that given the lead time required for data processing and system updating, the information provided on GeoInfo Map is for general reference only. For detailed information about land status, members of the public may purchase a Lot Index Plan from map sales outlets of LandsD's Survey and Mapping Office.

GeoInfo Map, a government web map portal that provides online geospatial information services to the public, was introduced by the LandsD in 2010. In November 2017, the department further uploaded the list of government sites under its management and open for applications from non-government organisations (including community bodies) for short-term uses onto GeoInfo Map to facilitate public viewing. The LandsD will continue to make use of this online platform to disseminate suitable land information.
