Fatal traffic accident in Tuen Mun
     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tuen Mun this morning (March 19) in which an 83-year-old woman died.

     At about 9.19am, a medium goods vehicle (MGV) driven by a 46-year-old man was travelling along Shun Tat Street towards Castle Peak Road– Hung Shui Kiu. When reaching the junction of Shun Tat Street and Castle Peak Road – Hung Shui Kiu, it reportedly knocked down the 83-year-old woman who was crossing the road.

     Sustaining serious head injuries, the woman was certified dead at scene.

     The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries and is required to report back to Police in mid-April.

     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.
