Woman charged with manslaughter

     Police today (March 13) laid a charge against a 35-year-old woman with one count of manslaughter. She is in suspected connection with a case happened on June 26, 2014 in Tsim Sha Tsui, in which a 32-year-old woman died.

     At about 3.40pm on that day, Police received a report that the 32-year-old woman collapsed when receiving a treatment inside a shop on Carnarvon Road. Police officers sped to the scene. The woman was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 5.06pm.

     The Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon West has taken over the investigation. Police arrested the 35-year-old woman for manslaughter in Kowloon City today.

     Police have laid a charge against the 35-year-old woman with one count of manslaughter. The case will be mentioned at Kowloon City Magistrates' Courts on March 19.
