The Secretary for Transport and Housing, Mr Frank Chan Fan, visited Tuen Mun this afternoon (March 7) to learn about the transport and housing issues in the district and to meet with Tuen Mun District Council (TMDC) members. The Under Secretary for Transport and Housing, Dr Raymond So Wai-man, also joined the visit.
 
     Accompanied by the District Officer (Tuen Mun), Ms Aubrey Fung, Mr Chan first visited Yan Tin Estate, the first estate completed under the public housing development in Area 54, Tuen Mun. He toured the community facilities in the estate and was briefed by staff of the Housing Department on the flat intake.
 
     Afterwards, Mr Chan proceeded to the Tuen Mun Road Bus-Bus Interchange to view the operation of the facility. Staff of the Transport Department briefed him on the utilisation of the interchange since its commissioning in 2012. He then moved on to the vicinity of Lung Kwu Tan Bus Terminus to observe the traffic conditions there.
 
     Before concluding the visit, Mr Chan met with TMDC members to exchange views on district matters.
