CE to attend NPC session opening ceremony

The Chief Executive, Mrs Carrie Lam, will visit Beijing from March 4 to 7 and attend the opening ceremony of the first session of the 13th National People's Congress in Beijing on March 5.

During the stay in Beijing, Mrs Lam will meet with Mainland officials and conduct visits. The Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Patrick Nip, and the Director of the Chief Executive's Office, Mr Chan Kwok-ki, will join the visit.

Mrs Lam will return to Hong Kong on March 7. During her absence, the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, will be the Acting Chief Executive.
