SHA to visit Cambodia and Thailand

Mr Lau will depart for Bangkok, Thailand the following morning (February 27). He will meet with the Minister of Culture of Thailand, and sign a Memorandum of Understanding on Cultural Co-operation. During his stay in Bangkok, Mr Lau will also meet with senior officials from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand. He will also visit cultural and sports facilities, and watch performances to be given by young musicians from Hong Kong.
Mr Lau will depart from Bangkok and return to Hong Kong in the afternoon on March 1. During his absence, the Under Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Jack Chan, will be the Acting Secretary for Home Affairs.
