Hospital Authority announces senior appointment (with photo)

The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

     The Hospital Authority (HA) spokesperson announced the following senior appointment today (February 22).
 
     Dr Tang Kam-shing will take up the post of Hospital Chief Executive of Duchess of Kent Children's Hospital, TWGHs Fung Yiu King Hospital and MacLehose Medical Rehabilitation Centre with effect from March 26.
 
     Dr Tang is a physician by background. He has worked in Tuen Mun Hospital since 2005. He has been appointed as the Service Director (Quality and Safety) of New Territories West Cluster since 2012 and played a leading role in different initiatives at cluster level, such as implementation of the In-Patient Medication Order Entry System, an end-of-life care support project and various quality and safety programmes. Dr Tang possesses rich management experience and is particularly conversant in incident management and patient engagement. 
 
     The HA Chairman, Professor John Leong, and the HA Chief Executive, Dr Leung Pak-yin, congratulated Dr Tang on his new appointment and wished him every success in taking up the new post.
