The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government today (February 2) welcomed the appointment of Mr Michael Colglazier by Walt Disney Parks and Resorts (WDPR) as the President and Managing Director, Asia Pacific of WDPR with effect from March 5.
 
     “With Mr Colglazier’s rich knowledge and experience in theme park operations and taking forward expansion projects, we are confident that Mr Colglazier will take Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) to new heights,” a government spokesman said.
 
     On behalf of the HKSAR Government, the Financial Secretary, Mr Paul Chan, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the outgoing President and Managing Director, Asia Pacific of WDPR, Mr Bill Ernest. He said, “For the past 15 years, Mr Ernest has been offering his valuable insights and driving the development of HKDL in different capacities. I would like to thank him for his outstanding contributions to HKDL as well as the tourism industry in Hong Kong. I wish him all the best in his retirement.”
