Hospital Authority announces senior appointment (with photo)

The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

     The Hospital Authority (HA) spokesperson announced the following senior appointment today (January 25).

     Dr Lam Ming will take up the post of Hospital Chief Executive (HCE) of Castle Peak Hospital (CPH) and Siu Lam Hospital (SLH) with effect from February 1. 

     Dr Lam is a psychiatrist by background. He has worked in CPH since 1994 and is the Consultant of the Department of General Adult Psychiatry. He has been the Deputising HCE of CPH and SLH since Dr Eric Cheung took up the position of HCE of Kwong Wah Hospital. Dr Lam is an experienced senior clinician with rich management experience. He possesses a solid record of accomplishments in the clinical arena and provides leadership in various hospital improvement projects such as restructuring of inpatient service, the queue management system for specialist out-patient clinics and enhancement of substance abuse service.

     The HA Chairman, Professor John Leong, and the HA Chief Executive, Dr Leung Pak-yin, congratulated Dr Lam on his new appointment and wished him every success in taking up the new post.
