Special traffic arrangements on Hong Kong Island

     Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate a public procession to be held on Hong Kong Island this Sunday (January 7).

     The following special traffic arrangements will be implemented from 3pm, until the crowd is dispersed and traffic resumes normal:

Intermittent road closure
-------------------------

- Eastbound Queensway between Rodney Street and Justice Drive; and
- Northbound Arsenal Street.

Road closure
------------

- Southbound Rodney Street;
- Justice Drive flyover leading from northbound Justice Drive and eastbound Queensway; and
- The slip road leading from eastbound Queensway to Justice Drive flyover.

Traffic diversions
------------------

- Traffic along westbound Harcourt Road cannot turn left to Rodney Street;
- Traffic along northbound Justice Drive must turn left to westbound Queensway;
- Traffic along eastbound Queensway cannot turn left to Justice Drive flyover; and
- Traffic from bus terminus under United Centre must turn left to Drake Street.

     Vehicles may not be permitted to access or leave the car parks along the procession route during the road closure period.

     Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the area. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
