Appointments to Liquor Licensing Board announced

     A spokesman for the Food and Health Bureau announced today (December 29) that the Chief Executive had made appointments to the Liquor Licensing Board for a term of two years from January 1, 2018, to December 31, 2019.

     Dr James Wong Kong-tin has been appointed as the Chairman. Ms Winnie Fan Chui-wah has been appointed as the Vice-Chairman. Four other serving members have been re-appointed and five new members have been appointed.

     The five new members are Mr Edmond Chung Kong-mo, Ms Ip Mei-ho, Ms Jessica Li Tsau-ha, Mr Lo Kin-tak and Dr Benny Lo Kwan-ching.

     "The composition represents a mix of members from diverse backgrounds, including social welfare, legal, catering, business and accountancy, with some possessing knowledge of district affairs. In considering liquor licensing issues, the Board will be able to benefit from their wise counsel and expertise.

     "The Government would like to express its gratitude to the outgoing Chairman, Mr Stephen Yau How-boa, and four outgoing members, namely Mr Chris Ip Ngo-tung, Mr Ko Chun-wah, Ms Pearl Lam Po-ling and Mr Alan Lo Yeung-kit, for their staunch support of the Board."

     The membership list of the Board with effect from January 1, 2018, is as follows:
