SFH saddened by passing of Ms Sania Yau

The Secretary for Food and Health, Professor Sophia Chan, today (December 18) expressed profound sadness at the passing of Ms Sania Yau, a Member of the Advisory Committee on Mental Health and Advisory Group on Mental Health Promotion.

Professor Chan said, "Ms Yau had spared no efforts in promoting mental well-being. Besides her position as the Chief Executive Officer of the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association, she had also participated in many other work related to the promotion of mental health in the community. As a member of the then Review Committee on Mental Health, she had offered very valuable advice that had made the recommendations of the Mental Health Review Report which is more pertinent to the development of Hong Kong's mental health services. I am most grateful for her contributions over the years."
