Hong Kong Railway Museum to hold fun day this Sunday

     The Hong Kong Railway Museum will hold a fun day this Sunday (December 10). Offering a wide array of activities, the event aims to give visitors a better understanding of the history of railway transport in Hong Kong. Members of the public are invited to participate and admission is free.

     Visitors can take part in a variety of programmes including "A Chat with a Retired Train Driver", at which a retired train driver will share interesting anecdotes about driving trains. Music performances entitled "The Rhymes of Tea" will enable visitors to learn more about tea appreciation while enjoying some beautiful music, and a photo corner will also be set up for visitors to take photos with Diesel Electric Engine No. 51, a star exhibit of the museum.

     The Conservation Office of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department will also hold a talk to share the challenges of displaying and conserving the railway relics.
