Fatal traffic accident in Tuen Mun

At about 4.20am, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by the 27-year-old man was traveling along Tuen Mun Road towards Yuen Long. When reaching near Yuk Hong Street, it reportedly hit a stationary Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV).
The LGV driver was trapped inside the LGV compartment and was rescued by firemen. Sustaining multiple injuries, he was certified dead at scene. Sustaining neck injury, a 24-year-old SPV male driver was sent to Tuen Mun Hospital in conscious state.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.
