Hong Kong Customs seizes suspected heroin (with photo)

     Hong Kong Customs yesterday (November 28) seized about 1.5 kilograms of suspected heroin with an estimated market value of about $1.3 million at Lok Ma Chau Control Point.

     Customs officers intercepted an incoming container truck at Lok Ma Chau Control Point yesterday evening and found four pieces of suspected heroin weighing about 1.5kg in the 55-year-old male driver’s possession. He was then arrested.

     Investigation is ongoing.

     â€‹Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, trafficking in a dangerous drug is a serious offence. The maximum penalty upon conviction is a fine of $5 million and life imprisonment.
