Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan this afternoon (November 17), in which a 72-year-old woman died.

     At about 5.45pm, a public light bus driven by a 66-year-old man was travelling along Fuk Wa Street towards Yen Chow Street. When approaching near Yen Chow Street, it reportedly knocked down the 72-year-old woman who was crossing the road.

     Sustaining multiple injuries, the woman was rushed to Caritas Medical Centre in unconscious state and was certified dead at 6.18pm.

     The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for further enquiries.

     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West is underway.
