Police further arrested five more men in connection with murder in Sau Mau Ping

     Police further arrested five non-ethnic Chinese men, aged 18 to 40, in Kwun Tong, Sau Mau Ping, Hung Hom and Tsim Sha Tsui yesterday (November 15) in suspected connection with a murder and wounding case in Sau Mau Ping on November 13, in which a 25-year-old non-ethnic Chinese man died and two non-ethnic Chinese men, aged 23 and 25 respectively, were injured.

     The five men are being detained for further enquiries.

     Police arrested two non-ethnic Chinese men aged 26 and 39 respectively in suspected connection with the case earlier. Police laid a holding charge against the 39-year-old non-ethnic Chinese man for the case with one count of murder yesterday. The case will be mentioned at Kwun Tong Magistrates' Courts today (November 16). The 26-year-old non-ethnic Chinese man was released on bail pending further enquiries and is required to report back to Police in late November.

     Active investigation by the Regional Anti-Triad Unit of Kowloon East is underway.
