SED on Minister of Education's remarks

     Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Education, Mr Kevin Yeung, at a media session after attending a radio programme today (October 28):

Reporter: Mr Yeung, do you think that Beijing officials (Minister of Education) are putting pressure on the Education Bureau in Hong Kong?

Secretary for Education: No, I don't think so. I think, as I said, I think the Minister is just giving his personal view on the education system in Hong Kong, and, as he said, he believed that the Hong Kong Government could implement our policy according to the needs of Hong Kong.
