Appointments to Advisory Committee on Travel Agents announced

     The Government announced today (October 27) the re-appointments of Mr Wilfred Wong Kam-pui as the Chairman and Ms Mandy Fung Yuen-han and Mr Anthony Lau Chun-hon as members of the Advisory Committee on Travel Agents (ACTA). Mrs Alice Chan Cheung Lok-yee is also appointed as a new member of the ACTA. The appointments will take effect on November 1, 2017, for a term of two years.
 
      "We are thankful for the continued contribution to the ACTA from Mr Wong, Ms Fung and Mr Lau. We also welcome Mrs Chan and look forward to working closely with her and other fellow ACTA members to further promote the service quality of tourism in Hong Kong," a spokesman for the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau said.

     The ACTA is a statutory body established under section 7 of the Travel Agents Ordinance. It advises the Government on matters relating to the regulation of travel agents and issues affecting the interests of the travel agents and consumers.

     The composition of the ACTA with effect from November 1, 2017, is as follows:
