Electrical and Mechanical Services Trading Fund drives upgrade of Government's E&M assets

     The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) announced today (October 25) the Electrical and Mechanical Services Trading Fund (EMSTF) results for 2016-17. The EMSTF recorded total revenue of $6.203 billion, a slight increase over the preceding year, with returns on revenue slightly raised to 5.3 per cent. The performance is satisfactory.  
 
     The Director of Electrical and Mechanical Services and EMSTF General Manager, Mr Alfred Sit, said that the EMSTF has been delivering quality and cost-effective electrical and mechanical (E&M) engineering services to government departments and public organisations for more than two decades, which has enhanced people's quality of life.
 
     "We will continue to improve our team's quality and assist the trade to enhance its technological and technical level. By adopting an innovative and flexible operation mode, we can assist government departments and public organisations in upgrading their E&M assets in order to provide quality and reliable services to the public," Mr Sit said.
 
     The EMSTF Report was tabled in the Legislative Council and uploaded to the EMSD website (www.emsd.gov.hk/en/rl/EMSTF_AR_1617) today for public reference.
