SCS to visit Singapore

     The Secretary for the Civil Service, Mr Joshua Law, will depart for Singapore tomorrow morning (October 25) to get an update on the management and training of the civil service in the Lion City.

     Mr Law will pay a courtesy call on Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in charge of the Civil Service, Mr Teo Chee Hean. He will meet with Singapore's Head of Civil Service, Mr Leo Yip, and the Permanent Secretary (Public Service Division), Prime Minister's Office, Ms Yong Ying-I, to exchange views on the overall management, training and development of the civil service. He will also meet with the Charge D'Affaires ad interim, Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Singapore, Mr Fang Xinwen.

     During his stay, Mr Law will visit the Civil Service College of Singapore and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy to learn more about their operation.

     Mr Law will return to Hong Kong in the evening on October 26.
