Service suspension of Haven of Hope Christian Service - The Chinese University of Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Centre for Training and Research

The spokeperson of Tseung Kwan O Hospital (TKOH) made the following announcement today (October 21) on an incident of smoke in the plant room on 6/F Ambulatory Care Block (ACB) of Tseung Kwan O Hospital.
At around 7.45am today, smoke was discovered emitting from the Uniterruptible Power Supplies Plant Room located at 6/F, ACB. Firemen arrived to handle the incident, evacuated the staff from 6th to 8th floor because of the smoke. No staff or patient was injured during the period. The services of Haven of Hope Christian Service - The Chinese University of Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Centre for Training and Research located on 6th floor was affected and will be closed today as there is interruption of the air conditioning system.
The Centre activated its contingency measures and informed patients about the incident. The Centre will arrange another appointment for the patients.
TKOH apologised for the inconvenience caused to the affect patients.
