Here is an item of interest to swimmers.
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (October 16) that Shek O Beach and Big Wave Bay Beach in Southern District, Hong Kong Island, are temporarily closed until further notice for maintenance of shark prevention nets. Red flags have been hoisted at the beaches. Beach-goers are advised not to swim at the beaches.
The red flags at the beaches were hoisted earlier due to big waves.
