Tropical Cyclone Khanun roundup

     The Hong Kong Observatory downgraded the No. 8 Northeast Gale or Storm Signal issued at 8.40am today (October 15) to Strong Wind Signal No. 3 at 7.20pm as the weakened Tropical Cyclone Khanun moved further away from the city.

     As at 7pm, the 1823 Government Call Centre has received 80 reports of fallen trees.

     A total of 202 people have so far sought refuge at 21 temporary shelters operated by the Home Affairs Department.

     According to the Hospital Authority, a total of 22 people, including 8 males and 14 females, aged between 22 and 86, have sought medical treatment at the Accident and Emergency Departments at public hospitals during the typhoon period.

     On air traffic, as at 5pm, the Airport Authority Hong Kong reported that 402 flights have been delayed and 67 flights cancelled.

     No report of flooding or landslide has been received.
