First nomination for Central and Western District Council by-election received

     One nomination for the Tung Wah Constituency was received by the Returning Officer for the by-election of the Central and Western District Council today (October 6). No nominee was named for the by-election for the Peak Constituency. The nomination period started on October 3.

     The name, occupation, political affiliation and date of nomination of the nominee are as follows:

Occupation: Senior Community Development Officer
Political affiliation: The Democratic Party
Nominated on October 6

     The nomination period will run until October 16. If the number of validly nominated candidates for a constituency is more than one at the by-election, a poll will be held on November 26, 2017 (Sunday) for the by-election for that constituency.
