Public invited to attend public engagement sessions on youth development policy

The following is issued on behalf of the Commission on Youth:

     The Home Affairs Bureau and the Commission on Youth (CoY) will hold the last public engagement session in New Territories East on October 27 (Friday) to collect public opinions on the way forward for the youth development policy of Hong Kong. The Chairman of the CoY, Mr Lau Ming-wai, will attend the public engagement session to exchange views with the participants.

     The HAB and the CoY have organised three public engagement sessions - on Hong Kong Island, in Kowloon and in New Territories West - since July.

     The last public engagement session will be held from 7pm to 8.30pm on October 27 at Tai Po Community Centre, 2 Heung Sze Wui Street, Tai Po, New Territories. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

     Members of the public can enrol from today (October 3) through online registration on the CoY's website (www.coy.gov.hk/en/activities/youth_engagement.html). For enquiries, please call 3509 7035 or email to youth_engagement@hab.gov.hk.

     Enrolment will close at 5pm on October 19 (Thursday). Ballots will be drawn should the number of enrolments received exceed capacity. No walk-in registration will be accepted.

     Members of the public are also welcome to send their comments on youth development work in Hong Kong to the CoY Secretariat by post or via email. Please visit the CoY's website for details.
