To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR, the Chongqing Liaison Unit of the CDETO has organised "Together · Progress · Opportunity – Roving Exhibition in Celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Return of Hong Kong to the Motherland". The exhibition will be open to the public for free from today until September 17 at the Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum.

The exhibition is themed around the concept of "Togetherness", the binding, driving force that propels the strength and prosperity of the motherland and Hong Kong in building a better future together.

The exhibition also highlights how Hong Kong has been fully deploying its advantages under the "one country, two systems" arrangement and the principle of "what the country needs, what Hong Kong is good at". It also shows how Hong Kong is poised to seize the new opportunities arising from the nation's 13th Five-Year Plan and the visionary Belt and Road Initiative, and how the city serves in attracting foreign investment, technology and talent, while assisting Mainland enterprises in "going global", thereby contributing to the nation's development in many ways.

The exhibition also showcases how Hong Kong and the Mainland work together in fields such as trade, finance, technology, infrastructure, culture, sports, community, conservation and disaster relief, building closer connections with each other.

The exhibition, presented in 10 sections, features more than 10 video clips, over 200 photos and an interactive session including a photo-taking zone, a Hong Kong famous buildings puzzle zone and a game called “Find Similarities between Hong Kong and Chongqing”. The rich variety of pictures and text depicts Hong Kong's exciting city landscape, latest developments and future development blueprint.

In addition, the Chongqing Liaison Unit held a gala dinner in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR yesterday (September 7).  Those attending the dinner included Miss Lam; the Vice Chairman of the Chongqing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conferenc, Ms Zhang Ling; senior officials from relevant departments of Chongqing Municipality; representatives from Hong Kong organisations and Hong Kong-invested enterprises in Chongqing; representatives of Hong Kong trade associations; and Hong Kong students studying in Chongqing.
