Twenty-two local arts groups and consortia join new round of LCSD Venue Partnership Scheme

     A new round of the Venue Partnership Scheme will be implemented at the performing arts venues of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department next year. Twenty-two local arts groups and consortia in different art forms have been selected and will be the venue partners at 12 performance venues.

     The new three-year scheme will be held from April 2018 to March 2021. The groups and organisations and the corresponding partnering performing arts venues are:

     The Venue Partnership Scheme was launched in 2009 as an arts development initiative, aiming to foster partnership between the performance venues and performing arts groups and organisations. Other objectives of the scheme include enhancing the artistic image and character of the venues and their partners, enlarging the audience base, optimising use of facilities, and developing venue-based marketing strategies. The scheme also encourages community involvement in the development of the arts and promotes arts in the community.
