The Leisure and Cultural Services Department has announced that Trio Beach, Hap Mun Bay Beach and Silverstrand Beach in Sai Kung District have been reopened today (August 31). The beaches were temporarily closed earlier for clearance work and maintenance of shark prevention nets after the typhoon.

Meanwhile, Deep Water Bay Beach, Chung Hom Kok Beach, Turtle Cove Beach and Shek O Beach in Southern District, Hong Kong Island; Hung Shing Yeh Beach, Cheung Chau Tung Wan Beach, Pui O Beach, Upper Cheung Sha Beach, Lower Cheung Sha Beach and Tong Fuk Beach in Islands District; and Clear Water Bay Second Beach in Sai Kung District remain closed until further notice as more time is needed for repairing damaged shark prevention nets or clearing debris due to the typhoon's impact.
