Severe Tropical Storm Pakhar situation report (3)

     The No. 8 Southeast Gale or Storm Signal issued by the Hong Kong Observatory at 5.10am today (August 27) remains in force.
 
     As at 11.10am, the Home Affairs Department has opened 27 temporary shelters in various districts and 231 people have sought refuge at the shelters.
 
     The 1823 Government Call Centre has received 159 reports of fallen tree as at 11.55am.

     According to the Hospital Authority, as at 11am, a total of 51 people, including 25 men and 26 women, aged between 22 and 83, have sought medical treatment at public hospitals during the typhoon period.
 
     On air traffic, the Airport Authority Hong Kong reported that around 300 flights have been cancelled or delayed, and around 30 diverted to other places so far.
 
     The Drainage Services Department has received 13 reports of flooding as at noon. No report of landslide has been received.
