Proposed lift and pedestrian walkway system in Kwai Chung gazetted

     The Government gazetted today (August 25) the proposed construction of a lift and pedestrian walkway system connecting Shek Lei, Castle Peak Road - Kwai Chung and Kung Yip Street in Kwai Chung to provide a convenient and comfortable pedestrian link which also provides safe and barrier-free access for the elderly and persons with disabilities.

     Details of the proposal are set out in the Annex. The plan and the scheme of the works are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:

     The gazette notice, scheme, plan, resumption plan, plan for creation of rights of temporary occupation of land and location plan will be available at www.thb.gov.hk/eng/psp/publications/transport/gazette/gazette.htm.

     Any person who wishes to object to the works or the use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 22/F, East Wing, Central Government Offices, 2 Tim Mei Avenue, Tamar, Hong Kong, on or before October 24, 2017.
