The Chief Executive, Mrs Carrie Lam, today (August 17) expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Professor Sir David Todd.
"Devoting all his life to medicine and education, Professor Sir David Todd had been the head of the Department of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong for a long period of time. He was also the founding president of the Hong Kong College of Physicians and founding president of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. I had known Professor Sir David Todd since my early years in the Government working on public health matters and his insightfulness on the medical developments in Hong Kong and his passion for education left a deep impression on me," said Mrs Lam.
"On behalf of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, I would like to extend my deepest condolences to his family," she said.
