Approved Tseung Kwan O Outline Zoning Plan amended

The amendments mainly involve the rezoning of various sites, including a "Green Belt" ("GB") site to the north of Tseung Kwan O Village, a "GB" site to the northwest of Ying Yip Road, a site zoned "GB" and "Government, Institution or Community" ("G/IC") to the south of Chiu Shun Road, a "GB" site to the west of Yau Yue Wan Village and a "GB" site to the east of Hong Kong Movie City, to "Residential (Group A)7" zone for public housing developments; the rezoning of an area zoned "G/IC" at Tin Ha Wan Village to "Village Type Development" zone to reflect the existing village development; and incorporation of "Art Studio (excluding those involving direct provision of services or goods)" as a Column 1 use in Schedule II of the "Residential (Group E)" zone. Opportunity is also taken to amend the Notes and Explanatory Statement of the OZP to reflect the above amendments and to update the general information of various land use zonings and the planning circumstances, where appropriate.
The draft Tseung Kwan O OZP No. S/TKO/25 incorporating the amendments is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters of the Planning Department in North Point and Sha Tin, the Sai Kung and Islands District Planning Office, and the Sai Kung District Office.
Any person can make written representation in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Town Planning Board on or before October 11. Representations made to the Board will be available for public inspection.
Copies of the draft Tseung Kwan O OZP are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the OZP can be viewed at the Board's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
