Vacancy in Central and Western District Council

The Government declared by notice in the Gazette today (August 11) the existence of a vacant elected seat in the Central and Western District Council Peak Constituency.

Following the resignation of elected member Mr Joseph Chan Ho-lim, the office will become vacant on August 15 pursuant to section 26(b) of the District Councils Ordinance (Cap 547).

The Registration and Electoral Office will arrange a by-election.
