The Acting Chief Executive, Mr Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, today (August 7) expressed sorrow over the passing of former Chairman of the Tsuen Wan District Council Mr Chau How-chen, and extended his deepest condolences to Mr Chau's family.    

      "I am profoundly saddened by the passing of Mr Chau. Mr Chau was respected by different sectors of the community. He had long and outstanding public and community service, particularly in Tsuen Wan District. While serving as the Chairman of the Tsuen Wan District Council, he dedicated himself to enhancing communication between the district and the Government and made tremendous contributions to the development of the district. He was also an outstanding district leader who gave staunch support in different community building projects, sports activities and charitable work," Mr Cheung said.    

      "I extend my deepest condolences to Mr Chau's family."
