Temporary traffic arrangements in Tin Hau from Saturday
*******************************************************

The Transport Department today (August 4) reminded the public that to tie in with the updated schedule of the construction work for the Central-Wan Chai Bypass this weekend, some traffic lanes of the following road sections in the vicinity of Tin Hau will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic at the times adjusted as below:

From about 9pm on August 5 to 6am on August 6
--------------------------------------------------------
Certain traffic lanes on the section of the Island Eastern Corridor westbound between the slip road leading to Hing Fat Street and Tung Lo Wan Garden.

From 6am to 6pm on August 6
----------------------------------
(a) Certain traffic lanes on the section of the Island Eastern Corridor westbound between the slip road leading to Hing Fat Street and Tung Lo Wan Garden; and
(b) The fast lane of Victoria Park Road westbound between the Tsing Fung Street flyover and the Island Eastern Corridor.

Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on-site to guide motorists.

The TD anticipates that the traffic in the vicinity of the Island Eastern Corridor and Victoria Park Road will be relatively congested. Motorists should exercise tolerance and patience in case of traffic congestion and should consider using alternative routes. Members of the public are advised to plan their journey in advance and allow more travelling time to avoid unexpected delay. They are also advised to stay alert to the latest traffic news on radio and television.

Details of the temporary traffic arrangements are now available on the department's website (www.td.gov.hk).
