CE to visit Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Tianjin
     The Chief Executive, Mrs Carrie Lam, will visit a number of Mainland cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Tianjin in August.

     Mrs Lam will depart for Beijing in the afternoon on August 6 to pay visits to central ministries and other organisations to exchange views on issues of mutual interest. She will return to Hong Kong in the evening on August 9. The Financial Secretary, Mr Paul Chan, and the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Edward Yau, will join parts of the visit to Beijing. Other officers accompanying Mrs Lam on the visit will include the Director of the Chief Executive's Office, Mr Chan Kwok-ki.

     Mrs Lam will depart for Shanghai on August 22 to deliver an address at the Celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of HKSAR Gala Banquet. While in Shanghai, she will meet with leaders of the Shanghai Municipal Government. She will then go to Hangzhou the following day for meetings and visits.

     In addition, Mrs Lam will visit Tianjin from August 26 to 28 and attend the opening ceremony of the 13th National Games. She will visit the Hong Kong athletes at the Athletes' Village and also watch the events in which the Hong Kong team takes part to cheer for the Hong Kong athletes.
